Updates and Patches - particleIllusion
SE
Windows
The current version of particleIllusion SE for Windows
is 2.0.5.1 (displays in AutoUpdate dialog as 2.0.5a)
The easiest way to update if you have 2.0.4 installed is to use the AutoUpdate feature -- use "Check for Updates"
in the "Help" menu.
After updating with the AutoUpdate feature, if you want to update your documentation as well you need to
download and install the SE doc updater for Windows
To update from 2.0.x to 2.0.5a without using the AutoUpdate feature of 2.0.4,
download the 2.0.5a updater (3.2 MB)
For a list of changes in 2.0.5 read
this file.
After updating from 2.0.3 or earlier, you will need to activate particleIllusion SE again.
The new activation method does not require a "POP code", but does require a serial number. If you
have not recently received an email from us about obtaining a serial number for particleIllusion SE,
click here to email us and request one.
Mac OS X
The current version of particleIllusion SE for Mac OS X
is 2.0.3.2 (also called "2.0.3b")
2.0.3.2 (22 June 2009) To update from any previous Mac version of particleIllusion SE (2.0.x)
to 2.0.3.2, download this file: pIllusionSE_OSX_2032_update.pkg.zip
unzip, then double-click the pkg file to start the installer. This is not a full install, but an update install only!
If you have 2.0.2 or up installed already and your particleIllusion SE computer has an Internet connection, use
the "Check for Updates" feature in particleIllusion's "Help" menu instead of using this updater.
Note that 2.0.2 works in 10.2.8 and up, including Leopard (10.5).
Activation by Internet is required in version 2.0.2 and higher.
